Our Mission:
To build a Christian family where all are welcome, valued, and inspired to become deeply committed Christians.
Our Vision:
To be agents of Christ to transform lives and community through Christ by prayer, discipleship, fellowship, and outreach.
Our Beliefs:
We believe that God works in our world and in our lives in three ways:
- God our Creator values all human beings. We are called into partnership with God. God has given us the responsibility for our lives and the life of the world.
- Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the source of our salvation. Through faith in Jesus Christ we are forgiven our sins, made right with God and given a new life in which faith is lived out in the world.
- The Holy Spirit, God with us, guides us in our Christian life and empowers our daily living.
We believe that we grow in Christian faith by reflecting thoughtfully on the scriptures, communing with God in prayer, and participating in the Christian community, which is the church. We believe that the Christian life involves representing God in the world through Christian mission, social witness, and faith sharing.
We believe that the church belongs to God and that the church is, in the words of the Apostle Paul, the body of Christ. We believe in the value and potential of each person entering our church. We believe in following and becoming like Christ with love and support of each other and extending that love into the world. We strive to be the physical presence of Christ in the world. We believe that, through Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we can make a difference in the individual lives of our church body, our community, and our world.
As part of the United Methodist Church, we are excited to be members proclaiming Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors.
We believe in “The Apostles’ Creed”
 We believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. AMEN.
We affirm historic Christian orthodoxy and one of the earliest and most universally accepted of Christian creeds. The Apostles' Creed gives a summary of the doctrinal commitments of this community. However, we do not think the best way to know what we believe is to read it off a page. We believe the best way to determine what someone, or some group of people, believe is to watch them -- or better yet, join them and discover it from the inside. We are a community of people seeking to follow Jesus in faith and freedom, and as we have learned from the loaves and the fishes, with Jesus there is always more for those who seek.
