National Based Ministries
Adult Mission Trips are taken within the United States to assist in renovation projects in areas needing assistance. Often times these trips are part of the United Methodist group known as Volunteers in Mission (VIM). Also, these trips are sometimes taken in partnership with other churches, such as Hope UMC in Lone Jack. Often, these projects are to restore houses that have been destroyed or damaged in natural disasters. Most trips are around 1-week in length. See photos of team members going on these Adult Mission Trips.
International-Based Ministries
The Kirzhach Orphanage in Kirzhach, Russia is sponsored by North Spring UMC through Children's Hopechest. Sponsorship entails helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the 32 children at the orphanage, ranging in ages from 6-16. North Spring UMC members write letters to the children and send supplies to the orphanage. Members also travel to Kirzhach to provide needed supplies, Christian education and to develop a highly personal relationship with the orphans.
