Hillcrest Ministries
Hillcrest Ministries moves families from homelessness to self-sufficiency by providing transitional housing. The partnership between Hillcrest Ministries and local churches helps meet a critical need for families who need a bridge to becoming self-sufficient. On the Hillcrest Website, click on Affiliates and Eastern Jackson County for the facility that North Spring supports. Lazarus Table
Lazarus Table is a ministry of the Grand Avenue Temple and provides hot nutritious meals and clothing to the homeless in Kansas City. At least once a year, North Spring UMC prepares and serves food at the Grand Avenue Temple in downtown Kansas City in support of this ministry.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of future homeowners. Members of North Spring UMC have donated time and labor to this ministry.

Sarah's Blanket Project
Sarah's Blanket Project is a program within North Spring to provide handmade tied fleece blankets to patients under hospice care, as a way of providing warmth and comfort from a caring church family. This program is named for Sarah Stalker who was a member of North Spring until she contracted cancer and passed away in early 2004. Benevolent Fund Ministry
The Benevolent Fund ministry provides limited funds for travelers and others having an immediate need.
Other Outreach Missions
Other important missions in which North Spring connects with the world include the One Great Hour of Sharing, World Day of Prayer, and Festival of Sharing. More information on these activities will be included on upcoming calendar updates.
