  Confirmation Classes
for youth grades 6-8 will be March 21st, March 28th, April 11th, and April 18th. Classes will be held at North Spring from 5 pm to 6 pm on Sunday nights, and will be mentored by Dave Taylor, Michelle Sloop, and Pastor Hubert Neth.

One Great Hour of Sharing, March 14
Gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing lay the foundation of all of UMCOR’s work by covering the costs of doing business. This means all gifts designated to specific programs can go 100% to those programs because UMCOR’s basic expenses are covered. Please give generously next week.

Lenten Lights Every Wednesday Evening
Lent continues for forty days excluding Sundays and climaxes with Good Friday and anticipation of the Festival of Easter. We will have a Lenten program starting February 24 and continuing every Wednesday through March 31. You are invited to come and enjoy a delicious supper (for a Love Offering) and an informative teaching/discussion series. Babysitting available. We are calling this series “Opening Our Eyes to the World Around Us”. Pastor Hubert will lead us in a discussion on some thought-provoking questions. Additionally, we will have some speakers from other denominations that will enlighten us about Lent, Holy Week, and Easter in their traditions. Dinner will be at 6 pm and program will start at 6:45 and go until approximately 7:30. Do not miss this opportunity to come and get to know each other better, enjoy a delicious meal, and have a “light” shine as we explore the meanings of this Holy season together.

A Baby Shower
for Liz Reynolds is planned for March 20th at 4:00p.m. Please join us for cute clothes, food and fun. The baby is a girl and her name is Morgan Sarah.

Drama Team
Looking for people interested in sharing in the acting experience. No experience necessary. Meetings will be on Wednesdays 8:00 to 9:00 pm. If interested please contact Timothy Reynolds 816-810-0669 or Tim Cook 816-229-4032.

We Need Help!
We are blessed to have a volunteer staff of people to do the sound and power point for us during worship services. But we really need a few more to help out. You don’t have to set it up ahead of time, just follow along and keep the slides moving. You’re coming to church anyway, how about sitting in back and helping? Sign up in the sound booth or see Heidi for more details.

Offering Envelopes
Your 2010 envelopes are on the table in the fellowship narthex. If you are a member of North Spring or turned in a pledge card you should have a set of envelopes waiting for you on the table. Envelopes are also available for anyone who wants a set and using them makes counting easier each Sunday. If you would like offering envelopes put a note in the offering basket or on the attendance pad to let us know.

Are you a Coca-Cola drinker?
You may not be aware but Coke products have codes that can be redeemed for free stuff! North Spring wants your unused Coke codes for the Mother/Daughter Banquet door prizes. Codes can be found on the cap on all 20 oz, liter and 2-litter bottles. Codes can also be found on the box lid on 12, 24 & 32 packs. Check Coke, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani water, PowerAde, Minute Maid, Fanta, Vault, Fresca and Pibb Xtra for codes. You can either email these codes to Jennifer Cook (bblbfolks@att..net), give them to Jennifer or Tim Cook on Sunday or put in the basket on top of the mini-fridge in the fellowship hall. These codes will be entered on the CokeRewards site and will be redeemed for prizes that will be part of the Mother/Daughter Banquet this Spring. See Jennifer or Tim Cook for more information.

TEACHERS NEEDED!
We need some willing participants to teach our younger group of PK-2nd grade children during curious kid time which is during the church service. I will post a sign up sheet on our bulletin board in the narthex and will get information/curriculum to you. Please see Lynette Harrenstien with any questions that you have or send her an e-mail at harrenstien@sbcglobal.net.

Communion Note
In the United Methodist Church all who believe in Christ and repent of their sins are welcome to partake of communion with us, you do not have to be United Methodist. Children are welcome as they can experience Christ’s love also.

North Spring Travel Mugs
In order for our church to be able to continue providing a mug to our visiting families, we are selling travel mugs to our congregation. Proceeds from the sales cover the cost of mugs for our visitors. Purchase your mug for $8 and help spread the word of this fabulous church and show radical hospitality at the same time. We only have a few left, so purchase yours before they're gone.

Friday Night Fires
We have a group that meets on Friday nights for older teens through college age (16 & up). We gather behind the church at 7:30 pm. There is a camp fire, hotdogs & marshmallows, music and discussions. If you are in this age group, come and participate in this new group which is a lot of fun and a way to meet a lot of great people. If you are not in this age group but know people in this age group, feel free to recommend this group to them! See Pastor Bill for more information.

From Your Parish Nurse
Sanitizing handwash bottles are available for your use at the back of the Sanctuary and in the west narthex.
